At the heart of her instruction, Indira Guevara believes in the adaptation of teaching methods to meet students' various needs and achieve their goals. A native of Venezuela, Indira speaks three languages fluently, Spanish, English and Greek, and has spent her teaching career identifying and improving students' ability to learn in a number of different environments.
Indira is not only an accomplished Spanish teacher, but also a molecular biologist, splitting her time between the worlds of language and science, instructing in both Spanish and Biology. Her teaching experience spans the globe from Atlanta to Cyprus, working extensively with children in both a school and hospital setting. Many of Atlanta’s most prominent schools credit Indira with advancing students’ in the subjects of Spanish and science including, Georgia State University, the Atlanta International School, The Spanish Academy, Sarah Smith Elementary School and Morningside Elementary School.
Indira earned her Master of Arts in Spanish from Georgia State University, her Master of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Cyprus, her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
